The body of a 19-year-old Columbus man who disappeared while swimming at Calamus Reservoir in central Nebraska has been recovered.
Garfield County Attorney Dale Crandall said divers searching for Richard Tucker found his body Friday afternoon. Tucker had been missing since about 12:30 p.m. Thursday when he jumped from his family's boat to swim to the beach.
Investigators said Tucker and his family were heading for the shore of a bay near the campground area after returning from a boat outing and he decided to swim the rest of the way.
Crandall said family members didn't see any signs that Tucker was in any distress.
The reservoir and recreation area are about seven miles northwest of Burwell.
