School Brighter Thanks To Students

Omaha’s Beveridge Magnet School got a lot brighter on Wednesday.

Seventh-grade art students had been working on a project for the last three-and-a-half months and now 12 colorful figures are on display in front of the school.

Art teacher Leigh Voruz said it was modeled after Everyman, a creation of Keith Herring. The pieces symbolize diversity in the world and in the school. “It's a blessing that we have all of these other types of people around us to learn from, so for them to be immersed in this project and for them to realize that it takes everybody.”

The school plans to continue landscaping the area.
