A Channel 6 viewer has helped Bellevue police nab a woman who has been writing fake checks all over the metro.

Bellevue Police arrested 29-year-old Alise Westcott for forgery.

They believe Westcott is the woman who has been using fake checks under the guise of a stolen identity. She had allegedly used them at stores and gas stations in Omaha, Council Bluffs and Bellevue.

Bellevue Police released a video where the woman they believe is Westcott can be clearly seen at the cash register passing off one of the fraudulent checks as real at the Kwik Shop near 48th and L.

Westcott had allegedly been using the identity of a woman who had her car broken into in 2011 in Council Bluffs. Her ID was taken at that time, and now, it's being used to help legitimize the checks for the thief.
