Bellevue police cruisers and law enforcement vehicles across Sarpy County are sporting some new colors.

The added lavender ribbon is helping promote October as domestic violence awareness month. The Coalition Against Domestic Abuse has teamed up with law enforcement to spread the word about domestic violence and provide victims with the resources to get the help that they need.

“We’re always hoping that more victims become more aware of the services that we provide and that is the goal of all of this," says the coalition's Holly Page. "We want the violence to stop, but we also want people to be aware of the services available to them.”
