The National Weather Service continues the heat advisory through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures once again on Tuesday will rise to the upper 90s however high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
Man injured after rollover accident. south of the metro. The accident happened about 9:45pm Sunday in the area of 358th Street and Mill Road, rural Louisville.
Deputies found a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu off the roadway. Accident investigation revealed it had been southbound on 358th Street when the driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the east ditch. The vehicle had struck a culvert and then collided with a tree before coming to a rest on its side.
Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann identified the driver as Raider Rhotenbacher, age 42 of Murdock. He was taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center by LifeNet with serious injuries. A hospital spokesman said yesterday that Rhotenbacher was listed in fair condition.
The driver was believed to have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors, said the sheriff. The accident remains under investigation.
Louisville Fire and Rescue, and Cass County Emergency Management Agency also responded.
