An armed robber, frustrated with how little was in the cash register, decided to take a number of scratch off lottery tickets Friday night.
"I think it needs to come to a stop," said Nichole Plum with the Conoco station at 24th & Leavenworth.
An armed robber pushed customers out of the way to get the cash register. This was even more nervous for the clerk since he was frustrated and a had a gun.
"He wasn't happy with what he got in the drawer and he got extremely mad right away," said Plum, "And he wanted to know where the rest of the money was."
So what was his solution? He started pulling scratch off lottery tickets out of the container on the counter and asked the clerk to help.
"There are other ways to get money like getting a job," said Plum.
He then forced the clerk to the restroom and got away.
