The Wendy's restaurant near 72nd and Jones was robbed at gunpoint late Monday night.

According to Omaha Police, the clerk at the drive-thru said a car went through the drive-thru line and went straight to the pick-up window around 9:40 p.m. When that clerk opened the window to ask if they could help the people in the car, the driver demanded money and the passenger pointed a gun at the window.

The employee emptied the cash register and gave the suspects an undetermined amount of cash before the suspects drove off.

The employee described the suspect's vehicle as a large dark-colored SUV with a loud muffler. Police have not released an official description of the suspects at this time.
