Two reserve police officers have been cleared to go back on patrol. They had been suspended for working too many hours. Reserve officers have about one fifth the training of regular police officers.
Reserve officers Greg Scheer and Andrew Ramaeker both appealed the violation of the State of Nebraska 100 hour rule.
Training center director Bill Muldoon said since Bennington disbanded its reserve program there's less chance the officers would be going over the allowed hours on duty.
Both work for both Bennington and Valley police.
