It took firefighters one hour to rescue a man stuck in a trench near 90th Street and Old Cheney Road in Lincoln.
The trench is next to a home under construction in a residential area on Sawgrass Drive.
Reports are that it took about 20-30 firefighters to rescue the man who got stuck in the six-foot hole around 2:45 p.m. Friday. Firefighters used a back-hoe to help dig dirt out of the trench and boards to keep it from filling back up.
Emergency crews put the man on a stretcher, loaded him in an ambulance and took him to a hospital. His condition has not been released.
