A Council Bluffs woman was shot to death Tuesday in an apparent domestic clash.
Police were called to a home at 34th and Avenue B around 8:15 a.m. There had been a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Millisa Cox. She'd been shot and she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. She later died.
Officers were passing a phone through a window of a house and noticed the man was passed out. They went inside and found the man on the floor with a wound to his chin.
He has been identified as 55-year-old Darwin Cox of Council Bluffs.
Police believe that Cox tried to shoot himself after he shot Millisa and say that Cox could face charges in the incident.
