A three-time drunken driving offender was sentenced Thursday to 30 days in jail, 18 months probation and fined $1,000 for her latest offense. Twenty-six-year-old Elizabeth Naple also had her licensed revoked for three years.
A passenger was killed when Naple was arrested for DUI the second time, but she was not charged in connection with the death.
"Here you have someone who is a very young person, 26 years old, who in a span of about seven years has had six different alcohol-related arrests," said Sgt. John Wells, president of the Omaha Police Officers Association.
