Online registration is open for the Coca-Cola NCAA Youth Clinic Saturday, June 14, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the Creighton University Sports Complex.
The free clinic for girls and boys from grades three through eight is open to the public. Parents or guardians can register their child online, see the related link, through Thursday, June 12.
Creighton University and other NCAA guest coaches conduct the clinic. This year’s featured guest is former Men’s College World Series alumnus and Major League Baseball player, Kris Benson. Benson was a pitcher for Clemson University from 1993-1996.
Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and begins at 8 a.m. All participants will require a waiver, signed by a parent or guardian, to participate.
The clinic typically attracts more than 300 children, said Victor Hill, NCAA Associate Director of Championships Community Programs & Youth Clinics. “The youth are able to work with NCAA coaches and student-athletes to learn baseball and life skills.”
