It was a chilly start Saturday morning with a low of 23°. The calm winds and clear skies allowed temperatures to drop into record territory. The previous record low for April 20th was 24° in 1953. At 5:54am Omaha had an air temperature of 23°.

The below average temperatures will linger through the overnight before a brief spike Sunday. Highs Sunday will reach into the 60s before another cool down arrives Monday.
