Douglas County Election Commissioner Dave Phipps and his staff got to work Saturday on checking approximately 37,600 signatures turned in Friday by the Recall Mayor Suttle Committee.
Recall organizers turned in just over 3,000 petition pages. The Election Commission has 15 days to verify the signatures and will announce the results of the verification process on December 4th.
The number of verified signatures needed to force a recall election is 26,643.
