Protecting children online is quickly becoming a top priority for parents. Things posted on the Internet can remain there forever.

There are ways parents can help ensure their children are protected.

Parents are encouraged to spend time with their children online so they can teach them where they can venture in cyber-space.

Computers should be kept in a common room in the house, never in a bedroom.

And parents should have access to the child's online accounts and randomly check their email and posts. Parents should also be honest about the access and why.
