Project Lifesaver Aimed At Locating Wandering People

In Sarpy County, officials are making an attempt to help locate people at risk of wandering away.

It's called Project Lifesaver International and it's aimed at locating missing persons suffering from dementia-type disorders.

We can get a wrist band from the Sarpy County Sheriff's office that alerts a search team if someone wanders away.

The wristband has a battery operated transmitter that sends a tracking signal every second, 24-hours a day.

More than five-million Americans suffer from Alzheimer's and related disorders. that number is expected to triple by 20-50.
