Powerball Ticket Sold in Virginia
Sorry, Charlie. Wednesday’s $217.2 million Powerball jackpot goes to… someone who bought a ticket in Virginia.
As of Thursday afternoon, no one had stepped forward to claim the prize. The ticket was sold at a self-serve lottery kiosk at the Richmond International Airport.
So, the winner could literally be in Timbuktu given the fact it was sold at an international airport.
This means the jackpot for Saturday night’s drawing falls to a paltry $40 million or $25.1 million if a winner chooses the cash option.
