Omaha police trying to figure out why a 20-month-old Omaha child died suddenly. The child was found unresponsive and rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning where he passed away.
The child's mother is a student in CSM's Mother's Living and Learning program. She lived with the child on campus.
The College of Saint Mary issued a statement, saying despite a police investigation, "we believe that the child passed away from natural causes."
The statement also extended prayers and condolences to the family.
The names of the child and mother have not been released.
