Bellevue Police Try And Piece Together What Happened To Injured Man

Bellevue Police are trying to sort out the details after a man shows up on a random doorstep injured on Thursday morning.

Police were called to the area near Logan Middle School around 7 a.m. and found 26-year-old Bryan Rodriguez with injuries to one of his legs.

Rodriguez had walked up to a door and began knocking on it, the person in the home called police.

He told police that he was walking on Kayleen Drive and a green Range Rover hit him. After he was hit, he said someone opened the door and fired a shot at him.

Officers and detectives searched the area but were not able to locate the exact area where this incident allegedly occurred.

The street in front of Logan Middle School, 701 Kayleen Drive, was closed for around 45 minutes while officers searched for evidence.

Someone in the area did report to police that they heard what was described as a loud "boom" just prior to the police being called.

The victim was transported to Creighton Hospital by the Bellevue Fire Department. Officers will be examining surveillance footage from Logan Middle School to see if it recorded any of the events reported by the victim.
