Omaha police are searching for the man who held up at least one convenience store overnight. In one robbery, the clerk was injured.

Around 3:30 a.m. Monday, a man walked into the Kwik Shop, near 72nd and Crown Point, and demanded cash. The robber hit the store employee with a gun and forced him to open the register. The robber took off with an undetermined amount of money.

The store clerk, a 45-year-old man, was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released for his injuries.

Police told WOWT 6 News the robbery may be linked to another convenience store robbery that occurred at 2:55 a.m. Monday at the Kum & Go at 89th and Boyd. In that robbery, the man placed merchandise on the counter and then demanded cash. He acted liked he had a gun, but never showed it. The robber got away in a vehicle that was waiting for him.

A detailed description of the suspect has not been released. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-7867.
