Lincoln police are investigating a burglary at the Subway restaurant near 84th and Highway 2.

Police say a husband and wife woke up around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday as their Toyota Matrix was stolen from their garage at 34th and A streets. The garage door was unlocked.
About 20 minutes later, the car was used to ram into the front entrance of the restaurant. Surveillance video shows the driver and passenger getting out of the car to steal the safe and cash. Damage to the building was estimated at $10,000.
