Police Catch Burglary Suspect in the Act

An Omaha police officer ran down a burglary suspect Thanksgiving afternoon.

Officer Duncan and Officer Orr responded to a security alarm at a home at 52nd and Fort around 2:13 p.m. and spotted a man running from the house.

Officer Orr tracked him down and booked Rodney Stearns, 56, of Aurora, Colorado, for burglary.

Investigators then learned that Stearns was a fugitive from Colorado -- wanted for burglary and escape.
