A Lincoln man is under arrest for allegedly kidnapping an 18-year-old woman and forcing her to an ATM. A witness who was suspicious of the situation saved the day by calling 911.
The witness told operators that a man who was standing at the ATM in the area of 40th & Old Cheney Road in Lincoln was acting aggressively toward the driver. When officers arrived around 1:40am Saturday, the man climbed into the passenger side of the car and the car drove off.
Police stopped the car a few blocks away. An officer reports that after he spoke to the driver and passenger, things did not add up. When the driver was asked to step out of the car, so police could speak to the two people separately, the young woman yelled that her passenger had a gun.
Officers quickly arrested 37-year-old Wayne Greve II. He was found to be in possession of an Airsoft gun. He was booked for robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and kidnapping.
