The College World Series alone is enough to pack downtown Omaha. Now add a concert for a hit artist. Tuesday, MECA announced expanded parking options, to accommodate the extra traffic. .
On June 23rd, Bruno Mars will be playing at the CenturyLink Center, and the first CWS championship game will take place at TD Ameritrade Park.
On that night, Midtown Crossing will operate a free shuttle from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Midtown Crossing offers three hours of free garage parking ($1 dollar for each hour thereafter for a maximum fee of $6 dollars). On-street parking is free after 5 p.m.
Throughout the series,the pricing at the CenturyLink Center parking garage is $15 dollars per vehicle, normally during the CWS, the cost is $20.
Creighton University offers about 1,000 parking spaces along Cuming Street between 19th and 25th Streets, within walking distance of TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.
These lots are monitored and a fee is charged.
Metro Transit will operate circulator routes and its Stadium Express. Updated information on routes and times are posted on www.ometro.com.
Activate Omaha and Omaha Bikes will continue the Omaha B-Cycle stations and offer free bicycle parking at the “Bike Corral” on Mike Fahey Street between 13th and 14th Streets.
