Plea Agreement In Theft Case

A less felony is part of plea agreement. A 44-year-old Louisville man will be sentenced for a Class IV Felony of theft by receiving on March 7th.

Steven Genzler had originally been charged with two Class III Felony counts of theft by receiving.

The plea arrangement includes Genzler’s agreement to make restitution. A restitution hearing will be part of the sentencing.

A white 1999 Ford F-250 was stolen from M & A Enterprises in Omaha last January. It was found stripped down in some weeds near 100 North Main in Louisville last March, said Chief Deputy Cass County Colin Palm. Drag marks indicated the vehicle had been pulled from a garage utilized by Genzler. A search warrant was obtained and Genzler admitted he knew it was a stolen vehicle and that he had been hired to strip it, said Palm.

The other Class III Felony count that was dismissed as part of the plea agreement involved another victim.
