One of the two people accused of stealing property that was intended to raise money for a heartland murder victim’s family has entered a No Contest plea and faces sentencing in June.
Kristin Hunt entered the plea to a charge of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.
Jeffrey Johnson is also connected to the incident. His case is still working its way through the courts.
Last September, the Deja Vu Lounge, where Kruger had worked, hosted a fund-raising event and the organizers later discovered that a 50" plasma television and a framed picture of the University of Nebraska's Memorial Stadium had been stolen. The items had an estimated value of more than $700.
Authorities say Johnson and Hunt sold the stolen items to a pawn shop.
Johnson had served as a volunteer at the fund-raiser.
Hunt is scheduled for sentencing on June 27th.
