Pigskin In The Park Husker Tailgate
They weren't at the big game, but it kind of felt like it. Husker fans not making the trip to Ohio could still enjoy a game-like atmosphere in midtown Omaha Saturday night.
Midtown Crossing threw a tailgate party for diehard fans. Pigskin in the Park showed the Nebraska-Ohio State game on a 26-foot high definition viewing screen. There were also prizes and giveaways, but the real draw was the Husker community.
"You're out here with all these other fans and you get to hear the roar of everyone cheering," said Kris Roberts. "It's a good time out here with all the other Husker fans."
Husker legend and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers was on hand signing autographs and posing for pictures next to his Heisman Trophy.
