An Omaha woman faces several charges following an accident in which a pedestrian was struck Thursday afternoon.
Police say 57-year-old Daniel Case of Omaha was in the crosswalk at the intersection of North 24th Street and Ames Avenue when he was hit by a car driven by 21-year-old Curtrina Crockron, who was making a left turn from eastbound Ames onto northbound 24th around 4:30 p.m.
Crockron was cited for driving under suspension, no proof of insurance and failure to yield.
Case was taken to Alegent Creighton University Medical Center for treatment of a broken leg, laceration to his ear, a spinal fracture and bleeding on the brain. He is expected to survive.
