Two teens were shot and killed outside of an Omaha home Sunday morning.
Police believe there may have been a party in the area and that a disagreement turned violent around 1:20 a.m. “Officers responded to a call for shots fired at 2254 Saratoga," said OPD Officer James Shade. "Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and both those male victims did die from their injuries.”
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, the other was taken to Alegent Creighton Medical Center where he died. They have been identified as 18-year-old Brendon Ford and 17-year-old DMarco Pope.
Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer said investigators believe the shooting was gang-related, though no suspects are in custody. All signs indicate this shooting was not connected to Saturday's shooting spree in south Omaha.
