A Facebook page that angered parents has been taken down. Someone had created "Nebraska Hitlist" bashing metro students.
"And I apologize if this offends anyone," said Margie Guy. She was reading the post about her daughter. Because the post was so explicit, Channel 6 News decided to only include this, "Had STDs more than once by her junior year in high school."
Guy said her daughter was just one of about a dozen boys and girls being bullied on the page.
She explained how her daughter may have found herself on the page. "A friend request is sent and a lot of kids don't pay attention to the friend requests they receive," said Guy. "They just confirm, confirm, confirm. And then, pictures are pulled off of their Facebook pages and things are said about them."
"I'll sit here and report it again while we are sitting here," said Guy. "Ya know, I'll submit a report." She said she's reported the page about 20 times.
Guy was working with the Sarpy County Sheriff's Department, looking into filing charges. Channel 6 News also showed the page to a public information at the Omaha Police Department, who said "they aren't aware" of any criminal or civil charges that could be filed.
