If you haven’t had a chance to check out the new music venue at the base of the Bob Kerrey Bridge, join us this Friday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m.!
Daniel Slosberg will portray Pierre Cruzatte, the one-eyed, half-French, half-Omaha Indian Missouri River boatman and fiddler that explored the Lewis & Clark Expedition.
Journey back 200 years to hear melodies, dance tunes and work songs of the era and learn how the adventurous expedition could not have succeeded without help from many Native American nations.
Following Slosberg, plan on enjoying a mix of rock, progressive jazz, folk and world music from Vlasis, a talented virtuoso that has thrilled fans all over the country as a solo act, as the lead guitarist for the Twin Cities art-rock band, Blue Canoe, and the band, One Nation, and as drummer and lead guitar for the popular Native American band, Brule´. Even playing unplugged, his guitar work is classified by one reviewer as “electric.”
Bridge Beats final show will be held on Friday, June 28.
