Behind a curtain of rain, it's hard to see limbs fall but people in Westgate could hear it. Helen Borer says, " I heard something hit and I was pretty sure that's what had happened.."
Minutes after the storm moves through, neighbors saw open their street. Around the corner a family moves the cars as a big limb rests precariously on the roof. Lisa helm, a Westgate resident says, "Potentially it's cracked. There's very little holding the rest of that branch on."
But several parked vehicles sit damaged or crushed in the driveway. Neighbors say the owner of one is likely out of town when a huge limb crashed down. If you take a look inside the drivers side of the car, you'll see just how lucky the owner is not to have been behind the wheel.
Large limbs fell on roofs in driveways and across busy streets. The quick striking wind even grabbed a backyard trampoline. Throughout the Westgate neighborhood they're busy with cleanup and phone calls to insurance agents. One Westgate resident says, " Wait in line, call and hold."
