Omaha police officers were called to two separate shooting scenes overnight. Officials say the victims in both cases are expected to survive.
The first shooting happened near 34th and Pratt, just after 8 p.m. Officers were called to the area to investigate a disturbance. While there, they heard gunshots and saw two vehicles speed away from the area.
Officers reported finding one of the vehicles at a home in the area of 30th and Spencer. The victim, 18-year-old Reynaldo Lampley, was found inside the house. He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The second shooting happened, just after 2 a.m., in the area of 33rd and Lake. While en route to the scene, officers were informed that the victim had been taken to the hospital by friends.
When police arrived, they reported that witnesses and later the victim himself were uncooperative. 25-year-old Damon Phillip allegedly told police only that he heard gunshots before being hit in the leg.
No arrests have been made in either case.
