A federal judge has sentenced a 21-year-old Omaha woman to 10 months in prison for lying to officers about a fugitive.
A news release from the office of U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg says Precious Williams was sentenced last week. Williams must serve two years of supervised release when she leaves prison.
The release says officers from a fugitive task force talked to Williams at her home on May 7, asking her about a federal fugitive, Jesse Taylor. Authorities say Williams denied knowing Taylor or where he was hiding.
The officers then set up surveillance on Williams. She eventually drove to where Taylor was hiding, and he was arrested by officers who had followed Williams.
