A 35-year-old Omaha woman has been given three years in prison for her role in a marijuana operation.

A news release for the office of U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg says Amy Griffith was sentenced last week. Griffith must serve three years of supervised release after she leaves prison.

Gilg's office says Griffith was one of 11 people indicated with marijuana kingpin Shannon Williams in December 2009. Griffith was one of Williams' drivers, and prosecutors say she helped him run his marijuana business while he was serving time in the Douglas County jail on a cocaine conviction.

Earlier this month Williams was sentenced to 40 years in a
federal prison.
