An Omaha police officer is recovering from minor injuries she received when her cruiser was hit by another car at a north Omaha intersection.
A police report says Officer Alexis Boults was responding Tuesday afternoon to a request for backup when her cruiser was hit by a car driven by an 83-year-old driver.
Police say Boults had her emergency lights and siren on when she entered the intersection against a red light. She suffered a minor
head injury in the crash, which caused the other car to hit a third car stopped at the intersection.
Police say the 83-year-old driver also suffered minor injuries
and was taken to a hospital. The driver of the third car complained of neck pain, was not taken to a hospital.
