If you didn't have a chance to see the Omaha Symphony perform this weekend at the Holland Performing Arts Center there is one more chance before Christmas and this one is free.
The symphony will perform a free holiday concert at the Salvation Army Kroc Center on Thursday, December 19 at 7 p.m.
Conducted by Hal France, the concert will feature the talents of Council Bluffs soprano Shelby VanNordstrand, string and brass students from the Omaha Conservatory of Music at the Kroc Center, and student choirs from Highland and Western Hills elementary schools, Phoenix Academy and Wilson Focus School.

Some of the season’s best holiday music will be on display as the symphony performs favorites such as highlights from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, “The Christmas Song,” “We Three Kings,” and “Sleigh Ride,” as well as a Christmas sing-along including “Joy to the World,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” and “Angels We Have Heard on High.”
