Omaha Salon Receives National Honors
An Omaha hair salon has won a national prize and all the attention that goes along with it.
Fringes at 158th Street and West Dodge Road won awards in two of the five categories in the Battle of Strands contest held in Las Vegas. It drew entries from across the country. Fringes won for best makeup and the People’s Choice Award.
“We represented Omaha and the Midwest in this competition," said Fringes’ Carol Cole Lapole. "We couldn't be more thrilled about what our team put out there. For us, we really showed that Omaha is a fashion capital of the country.”
This was the first year for the national competition.
