Extra Enforcement Focused On St. Patrick's Drunk Driving Underway

Omaha police will have more officers on the streets before and after St. Patrick's Day to be on the lookout for drunken drivers. The department received a nearly $22,000 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety to pay for the enhanced enforcement from Saturday through March 22nd.

OPD will allocate additional officers throughout the city with enforcement efforts focused on this weekend and next, as well as the St. Patrick's Day celebration Monday.
