Omaha Police Make Arrest In Shooting

The Omaha Metro Fugitive Task force has made an arrest in the shooting of a man back on November 19th.

Randy Walker was booked for 1st degree felony assault, use of a gun to commit a felony, and felon in possession of a firearm.

The shooting victim, Aaron Whitehill, told police that he was driving in the area of 49th and Q when he was flagged down by a man who said he needed a ride. Whitehill said after the man got into the vehicle he started firing a gun.

Whitehill crashed his vehicle into a wall and fence. He got a ride to the hospital from a friend. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.
