An Omaha man is in custody after an officer recognized him as being someone with an active warrant out for his arrest.
The officer was patrolling in the area of Park Wild Avenue and William Street around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to police, when the officer approached the man, he took off running into a home.
Additional officers were called to the scene; another resident at the home gave officers permission to search it. Police reported that the suspect, identified as Albert Fuller, Junior, initially refused to comply with officers, but became cooperative when a K9 officer was sent in.
Fuller was booked for obstructing and fugitive from justice.
