It's a big day Sunday as thousands gather to compete in the Omaha Marathon, Half Marathon, and more.
What those runners did Saturday evening though, was just as important.
Those at the Omaha Marathon Pasta Party had everything they needed Saturday.
Athletes got to stop by the Old Mattress Factory to get that final "carbo loading" for free.
The Mattress Factory Served mostaccioli because the shorter noodles are easier to digest for runners.
Race organizers say eating right the day before is critical for performance during the race.
“They need carbohydrates because their body is going to go into glycogen debt, most likely, even if they try to keep up," says Mark Wilson, Race Director for HITS Endurance.
All races start at 7 a.m. Sunday next to TD Ameritrade Park.
