The Omaha Farmers Market has been rated the sixth best in the country by the Daily Meal, a website dedicated to culinary content.
Pike Place Farmers Market in Seattle topped the list followed by the Des Moines Farmers Market, Chicago’s Green City Market, the Phoenix Public Market, the St. Paul Farmers Market and then Omaha.
Many at Saturday’s Farmers Market in the Old Market said they weren't surprised. "This is a great farming state and very agriculturally connected and I think people are really starting to get back to that even in the cities and close to the cities and I think that's wonderful,” said Stephanie Elrod.
