Ever dreamed of singing on a big stage? Many with that dream got their chance to audition Saturday at the Oak View Mall for the Omaha Storm Chasers, looking to line up national anthem singers for the upcoming season.
The team’s Ben Hemmen said they like to have the auditions in the mall so they can see how people do in front of a bigger audience. "It's just a great place here in the food court for people to come out and sing because they are going to sing in front of thousands at Werner Park, so a couple hundred is maybe a nice little way to inch in to it."
The team will choose 55 to 65 people to sing before games. Local media served as judges, including Channel 6 News anchor Jim Siedlecki.
