It was a rough morning for a Lincoln police officer. The officer began questioning a man about shoplifting from a grocery store and ended up with a broken nose.
The suspect, 31-year-old Jesse Hare, allegedly stole something from the Super Saver near 40th & O about 3am Friday. Police say after officers contacted him, he ran from the scene. After a foot chase, Hare punched the officer multiple times.
He is now facing multiple charges including assaulting a police officer, theft, failure to comply, resisting arrest, and providing false information.
