A Lincoln man accused of stabbing a woman he had asked to marry him after she started seeing someone else pleaded no contest Wednesday to attempted murder.
Twenty-four-year-old Kaw Say entered the plea in Lancaster County District Court. He faces up to 50 years in prison. According to prosecutors, Say stabbed 21-year-old Thai Paw last April with a kitchen knife until he broke the handle and then got another one.
Paw survived eight puncture and cutting wounds. Say told police he asked Paw to marry him, but she said no and was dating someone else.
