Superintendent search to begin at Conestoga. Superintendent Mark Sievering had told the board of education several months ago about his intention to step down as superintendent.
It became official with the Conestoga Board of Education’s acceptance of his resignation at a recent special meeting. Sievering will continue as superintendent until June 30th, 2012.
The board will interview firms that want to assist the district in hiring a new superintendent. According to the special meeting minutes, the board hopes to hear from four search firms this month with a possible timeline of choosing a new superintendent by late January.
