To help meet the demands of growth in western Douglas County, OPPD has approved the construction of a new substation near 180th and Blondo.
To acquire the necessary property, OPPD says it will negotiate with nearby property owners to buy the land. Otherwise, it may be taken through eminent domain.
OPPD says the new substation is scheduled to be finished in two years.
