The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released new video of the damage left by the spring & summer Missouri River flooding. A photographer accompanied the aerial tour Saturday from Omaha north to Decatur, Nebraska.
The damage looks a lot like it did when Channel 6 News took an aerial view several weeks ago. What seems to stand out most is a vast amount of land that was scrubbed down. There are also dozens of stories left to be told as you look down. Farmsteads and business are now high and dry but there is very little left.
The aerial tour also shows the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant. Some of the video is attached to this story. For an entire look at the six minutes worth of video provided, click here.
