A new water storage tank will soon tower over a Papillion neighborhood.
Just like a water tower, the tank will provide more water for the growing city.
It will sit on top of a large hill in the middle of the Summit Ridge subdivision near 96th and Schram Road. It will hold five million gallons of water.
Right now the city is taking boring samples of the hill and doing preliminary design work. Construction should begin later this summer.
Once this storage tank is built, Papillion will have two water towers and two water storage tanks.
